Re: Pedals Of Epicness

Always interested in wild sounding pedals :mental: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I46KCbPuF84 One of the pedals I lusted after when I first got started, back before 4ms and WMD chose to focus on synths. I've got a DIY swash permanently stuck in oscillation mode. It's probably going to work its way...

Re: The Gibson Les Paul Model thread

I think you have to look at the generation coming into their midlife crisis & higher earning potential. Gen-x, older millenials, who grew up with grunge and indie music. So you'll get stuff like the Adam Jones Les Paul. But, otherwise it's Fender offsets as far as the eye can see. Dunable are po...

Re: The Gibson Les Paul Model thread

I think I've got a photo of my wrecked Sonex, sitting on the smoker's balcony of an old flat that would class this thread right up. haha.

What do have against the Nashville bridge, Grant?

Re: Pedals Of Epicness

I had one that was one of the the oldest I've seen, switch labelled bright, old logo, shallow box, but I don't remember the gain knob being reversed like the reissues. Maybe it was a transition one before the logo change. Sort of regret selling it to a collector in auckland, but I didn't bond with i...

Re: Pedals Of Epicness

The synth company Elektron had their Analog Drive which has midi control over eight different distortion circuits.

Chase Bliss’ whole thing was digital control over analogue circuits right from their first pedal though.

Re: What's this guitar worth? Epiphone Tony Iommi

I had a flatmate with one of these, it was his teenage guitar, I remember he sold it for around 800, about 10-12 years back. I never really liked the halfass inlays, but it had the gibson pickups like the fancy models. They sounded pretty nice, and Gibson have discontinued them now. Edit: Here's som...

Re: Synth Chat

Considering what it can do, most of the parameters are right in front of you with the Hydra. I've got a desktop as well, which I leaned towards for the cv inputs and having all eight knobs on the face. I do think that the explorer might have been a better option for the polyphonic after-touch keyboa...

I found Russian Circles rather boring live. I hear they have a full time lighting guy now. Maybe third time will be the charm haha.

I do like their records.

Re: NGD: 1995 Gibson Studio

Nice! I've got Mal's old studio that's in similar nick (neck repair and all) and could basically be it's twin.

It's probably the guitar I play the most. I swapped out the pickups though for a Distortion and Pearly Gates. I should really check those pots.
