Re: Mr Glyns Pickups

I've jumped in and ordered an HSS set of Cloud Nine and Tuis for my hot strat build that's been sitting ready to start for far too long. Better start sanding and finishing the body now I suppose. I just need some black tuners and some bits of hardware now. I strongly doubt it will be in playing cond...

Another classic:

Ooh, that's awesome. Never thought of that one.

Re: Songs where Bass takes the lead

My youngest (12 and a half) is learning Bass at school at the moment, I got him a really cool 3/4 Squire Jaguar Bass which is also really impressive. Anyway, he's been learning this one the last couple of weeks and seems to have a strong enough groove that he's finally learning the whole song now. h...

All out of towners welcomed with open arms...
Obviously, for those who don't know, this is actually out of Christchurch in Darfield.

It's only about half an hour out west on State Highway 73 so pretty easy to get to.

Looking great! I guess the "plenty of plugs" hint meant it won't be an acoustic one? ;)
hadn't thought of that one :)

I seem to recall when we had a full on gear fest here last time there were a lot of power chords and extension leads everywhere...

Only had it for a year, in which the band i was in broke up and I foolishly sold it it to Sty, who's still go it as far as I know... i'm keen to buy back :P overmyshoulder.jog.jpg The view to my left from ...

No katanas were harmed! They couldn't find the source of the alarm  I feel the same way about Katanas. ;-) I said to CodeDog when you were playing the Strat through a clean Katana: "That sounds really good. Don't tell him..." LOL Are you sure it was Jeremy playing it and not someone else? ;)

Re: Forums have been slow, how about a 'In the mail' thread?

I've got a wodge of second hand vinyl records due to arrive today, I wonder what the odds of them actually arriving today or more likely being delayed till tomorrow when the whole family will be around to witness their arrival? be so much easier if they arrived in the next couple of hours before the...

Re: Christchurch Gearfest - Late August 2020?

Sorry guys, have been busy as and wasn't paying attention to this thread. July/Aug/Sep are bad months for me as it's ski season and we never know what the weather is going to allow us to do and the kids usually have ski school at some point. I'm happy to host if there is no other option, otherwise i...

Re: Forums have been slow, how about a 'In the mail' thread?

Might have to buy a power supply next, fancy a one-spot CS6 I think. I've just found out a) how hard it is to get the...
