$399 for a Greenback on Trademe, thats just nuts, only 85 Quid in the UK.
Tube amp and guitar tones straight from 1958… amazing how believable the sounds were back then, even without the modellers...

I am prepared to be an interim supplier:

- Blue, 16ohm, $375 light use
- Cream, 8 ohm, (AlNiCo) $495 new
- Gold...10” 8ohm light use
- Jensen BlackBird 8ohm $495 new
- Eminence Red Fang 16ohm $350 used

I emailed our local New Plymouth Rockshop manager and asked if they still supply Celestions. Also said we're a bit annoyed on here about the Tard prices.
This was his response..

"... Yep, we still are, we generally sell Celestion speakers, for between $ 299 and $ 449, depending on size and model,

We have quite good stock levels in our warehouse in Auckland, any particular ones you’re interested in?..."

Take what you will from that. But looking at that price range, pretty similar to what TM has them at. A 70/80 is probably $299 lol

Ordered a pair of CL80s. Have this idea to try to replicate the 3rd Power cab MBritt uses for a lot of his profiles.

Plenty of time on my hands....

Still very high prices. I just dont get it considering how cheap it is to purchase from overseas.
