only thing i'm not too excited about is the display, think my Helix display still winsConway wrote:To be honest, I feel a little underwhelmed about this new Kemper floor unit. It doesn't seem to add anything new and I suspect it will have the same processing power.

Re: What are you gassing for?
agree the display looks tiny with too much info which looks hard to see at a glance
i'm sure its powerful but the whole thing looks like something from the 90s, too many buttons and small print

There is a difference but can't fot the life of me remember what it is. Somewhere in the first ten minutes of the half-hour instructional video on the Kemper website lies the answer. Confess I was glazing-over...Kiwiaxe wrote:The display looks like it will be the same as the Kemper - which I know so well that I’m glad they aren’t changing it!

It's got 2x stereo FX loops in it. That's about it for new stuff. I'd love to try it, but I don't think I could drags meself away from a tube amp.

I think theyve kinda missed the boat as far as floor units go. AX8 has been out for years, Helix not far behind, and this doesn't offer anything groundbreaking. They're just playing catch up. But hey, each to their own.
Loving it so far

While I agree with this, it also gives people like me who can't afford a Toaster + remote to get a Kemper at a cheaper priceStratMatt wrote:I think theyve kinda missed the boat as far as floor units go. You're allowed to kick this one without appearing like a pillock.Molly wrote: There is a difference but can't for the life of me remember what it is.
Beyond a critical point within a finite space, freedom diminishes as numbers increase. This is as true of humans as it is of gas molecules in a sealed flask. The human question is not how many can possibly survive within the system, but what kind of existence is possible for those who so survive.

I have zero gas at the moment. I'm not even motivated to shed some excess gear. I'm here for the banter.
I must have come down with something.
