Behringer Vs The Originals

Post by jeremyb »

This is kinda cool, interesting that Behringer are now manufacturing the BBD chips which many builders like JHS use!

I found on quite a few of them I preferred the Behringer sounds  ...for example i'm not sure what the hell he was trying to achieve with the HM2 v the h300 (or what ever it was called) but the boss sounded muddy as shit compared to the behringer. I assume he just set the dials the same and didn't actually try to make them sound close

To be fair,he wouldnt be really expect to know how to rip sunlight sound style riffs,on a hollow body into what ever random amp of his that was.I would think setting the dials the same is prefered in this situation as most people seem to think they are a straight up gank of other companies designs

yeah I get it, but if I were doing these sort of videos the question would be can I make this cheap "clone" pedal sound like the real one

thanks for posting this JB

I`ve never gassed for a Behringer before, anyone else eyeing one off?
There are still some that think the neck PU is moved to accommodate the extra frets which only proves they cannot detect the difference in length of each.

Only if I can hire a digger and run over it. Then reverse back over it to make sure it’s completely wrecked

I’m gonna need to find a conversation where I can use “gank”.

I can attest that the SF300 is indistinguishable from the Boss FZ-2. I had both at one point. Sold the Boss...

(Given Boss discontinued that one and they now fetch stupid prices, I feel zero guilt.)

I had the displeasure of having to be on the receiving end of Beringer warranty returns for a few years. Behringer might sound like the Boss equivalents, but they sure don't last like them.

I just had a practice using it. However, judging by the reaction I got when I asked my wife to show me her gank, I suspect you need to be careful with it's use.

I did try explaining I was talking about the Rolex copy she bought when we were in Thailand, but she had stopped listening at that point.
