Where? My patch cables are Lava. Would trade again.
Not sure to be honest, maybe reverb? I bought mine from Ryan back in the day :(

OK:
Went to Music Planet.
"Your Auckland shop is listing Vox Coily cables on TM. Get me in one please and I'll pick it up next week."
" We don't do Vox anymore, that TM listing must be a mistake. You will have to go to the Rockshop." (Seriously? :wtf: )

At Rockshop
" We don't do Vox"

With apologies to John Lennon.

I'm keen on getting a Vox one from Music Planet too. The ChCh branch is not far from my office but traffic in that area is atrocious! I have not called them about in-store availability yet. I just don't fancy paying postage when the store is just nearby.

yep and these are the guys who moan when people buy from overseas and don't "support local business". When I walk into a shop with cash in my pocket I want to walk out with an item right there and then, not in 3 weeks time (or 3-4 mths like it was going to be last time I wanted to buy a guitar).

When I left school I went into baking and at the place I was working I noticed food getting thrown out (or more often than not eaten by the staff) at the end of each day. So after a couple of weeks I asked the boss why he didn't just make less food to which he told me he would rather throw food out than have a customer come in and want something that was sold out, because chances are that customer won't come back a second time. As the years have gone by I realise how correct he was in his attitude

... well done Polar Bear for being proactive here

MASSIVE MEA CULPA. PLEASE READ!!!

Received this PM from the excellent Polar Bear:
Hello sir,

Which shop were you in? I’d like to have a brief discussion with said shop to make sure that they improve next time.

I’m going to send you out a coily cable in black tomorrow, no charge, as an apology for the run around at our Auckland branch.

Apologies again!

Tod

When I replied, he pointed out that Music Planet didn't have a shop there and it must have been MusicWorks.

He is of course, perfectly correct.
Tod, my sincerest apologies to you and Music Planet. I thank you for the cable and I will of course be paying for it.

I'm now choking on a huge slab of humble pie with dickhead fool for dessert.

I don't know what all the fuss is about the vox coily cables. My one is easiest the worst sounding cable I've ever had. It's like paying money to have the life sucked out of your tone.

Good on you for owning up Slowy. Looking forward to your review after Danny's comments.
