I really need to make peace with the fact that I like Vox a lot but like to have an occasional fang on a drippy, reverby Fender.

Speaking of British EL84 forever amps. I still have my HiWatt studio stage which is awesome. It’s just a tad heavy to lug around but tone machine it is. Offers welcome at around 2k. Cost me 3k. New was 5.5k.

I did a gig with one a couple of years ago. It was a friends bandmates amp who we were sharing the bill with. It freakin sang. I've never been that impressed with the Mesa combos but this thing was the tits.

I've played a few Blue Angels. The reverb is interesting as it interacts with the treble and drive. I'm not sure what they are liked dimed, but clean they're lovely.

Relay stuck to the chassis with tape in that one too, why would they do that ? its just so lazy.
Tube amp and guitar tones straight from 1958… amazing how believable the sounds were back then, even without the modellers...

Looks like the same heat-transferring cement/paste they’re used under that Transistor for the power scaling so might not be so shabby
