There are still some that think the neck PU is moved to accommodate the extra frets which only proves they cannot detect the difference in length of each.

Re: Show us your flame
I was going to make an exceedingly dumb joke asking "why did they put the controls on the top of the guitar?" , but then spotted the strings...
The older I get, the more disappointed in myself I become.

15lbs of cool right there.
It's a marvelous design featuring a lot of thoughtful engineering touches that just make sense.

Indeed. From memory:NippleWrestler wrote:15lbs of cool right there.

- Smoothed heel allowing better upper fret access
- Three pickup adjustment screws instead of the sometimes wobbly two we still commonly use
- Slotted string anchor making it easier to replace strings
- Metal, earthed control cavity covers
They were also 200 quid when the cheapest Les Paul was about 500. I bought one in about '82.

Tri sound switches, the tuners that you can thread down into like vintage tuners or through the hole like modern ones. The bridge with about 50% more latitude than a regular tom. The bridge has these little notchrd cut out the back so the strings don't hit the back of the bridge on their way to the stop bar.
There's a solid brass sustain block under the tuneomatic too which is recessed into the body. Oh, the locking mechanism is genius. There's 8mm nuts around each post and this is also the same size tool as the truss rod so one tool does both ends of the guitar.
So many good ideas. It was designed in response to the Gibson lawsuit against hoshino gakki. They wanted to design a guitar that was what the Les Paul could have been.

May or may not have inspired me to absolutely mutilate another guitar.

You win the 'Keen Eye' award there Conway. It is a really nice guitar too, would be keen to own one at some point, I really wanted one of these when I was young (and so were they).Conway wrote:Something looks odd... is that a leftie guitar strung right handed??? Hit the like button instead of quote LOL. I seem to recall NippleWrestler being left handed, so I think the answer may be the "righty strung leftie and the photo back-to-front" scenario.
