Ha! You're the same as me. I separated them as well and preferred the Longhorn. As a pair, the Vintage gives a bit of grit while the Longhorn provides clarity. Best tones I ever got from it were with a JTM45 in a 2 guitar band, playing to about 500 people. Feckin glorious.Molly wrote:The Vintage one was the one I liked least but there was nothing in it and even less with the tape removed. Shame I didn't have this amp a week ago. Would've been nice to take it to Gearfest and hear it and the cab at a decent volume.Slowy wrote: Thought I'd done both. Let me guess; you didn't like the Longhorn?
And yeah; louder is more. Incredibly clear and detailed in a band setting, that cab.

Beyond a critical point within a finite space, freedom diminishes as numbers increase. This is as true of humans as it is of gas molecules in a sealed flask. The human question is not how many can possibly survive within the system, but what kind of existence is possible for those who so survive.

The older I get, the more disappointed in myself I become.

Huh, sweet. Going by the ding in the knob (oh my) it could well be my old one - if it has the wanker power socket thing then could well be. Reissues amended these iirc.
