Re: Christchurch Gearfest - September 22nd
I'm confirmed!
Will be bringing, Katana head into the 1x12 on my Marshall combo, likely be bringing my Ash Donnie and Radian SG as usual.
On a side note I really want to get a Cab for the Katana at some point in the future so would be interesting in trying out any suitable cabs if the opportunity presented itself, up till now I'd kind of been thinking of maybe a closed back 2x12 with V30s (or maybe just a bloody Marshall 4x12 or square thing)

I'm a semi competent backing vocalist. Retaining lyrics is my biggest downfall.Terexgeek wrote:We have a vict...volunteer! YAY!kdawg2a wrote:I'm an amazing singer..........
Are you happy with "Last Dance (with Mary Jane)"? Anything else you feel an urge to wrap your tonsils around?
Any requests for songs to play? It's a gearfest so the ubiquitous Bluesinay may show up, but if we get enough requests we may avoid it and it's cousin Bluesinee.
We have a drummer as well as a bassist so let the good times roll!

Re: Christchurch Gearfest - September 22nd
Perhaps you could do a 'Blues for BG'. It'd go like this:
big wheel keep on turnin'
under the april sun in cuba
proud mary keep on burnin'
under the april sun in cuba
So rock me momma like a wagon wheel
under the april sun in cuba
while proud mary keep on burnin
under the april sun in cuba
etc

The two lead vocals I do in my band are Monkey gone to heaven by the Pixies and Cut your hair by Pavement. You're all more than welcome to learn those ones!

With the venue's history perhaps sequined hot pants should be compulsory!

I’m up in Auckland so won’t be at this one. Make sure someone has a camera for when people have their gear out, camera away for when Jeremy has his gear out.
