During the last few years of tube-rolling I actually had more JJ's die on me than Shuguang's.Mini Forklift Ⓥ wrote:What’s the tubes in it, are they all Chinese or actually half decent?

I think some of the best modern valves are coming out of Shuguang at present, you just need a good supplier that sorts and grades them properly.
Tube amp and guitar tones straight from 1958… amazing how believable the sounds were back then, even without the modellers...

Collected this on the way to work today. Looks mint. Original packaging and a very nice, custom-made cover. Hope it sounds as good as it looks.Molly wrote:
Can't understand how Fastway work. Troy sent the McFly amp and cab at the same time. The amp got here but the cab didn't. In the mean time the cab has been overtaken by the Friedman even though it set of a day later and had to come all the way from Auckland. Expecting the cab later today.
If you want to learn patience, don't go to Tibet. Just get a Fastway account.

Always thought fastway was a misnomer, never been my experience

I'm like a druggie. With the safe completion of each anxious shipment I swear I'm done with it all. Never again. Keep what I've got and avoid the stress.jeremyb wrote:Always thought fastway was a misnomer, never been my experience

Re: HNAD x3
Eee, by 'eck. Friedman know how to make an amp. Same clarity through the overdrive I enjoyed on the Dirty Shirley and the Small Box. The clean in this is bloody nice too. The Dude overdrive turns a low-gain setting into a chug-chug metal monster.
In summary: Rather spiffing.
