I've no idea how Mesa managed to get their amps to weigh more than the Sun.

Maybe they should have been called Massa not Mesa?

Sounds good. Kind of a Fender sound to me, but crisper and tighter. That can be a good thing if you need it. Does not seem to quite have the bloom in the highs some Fenders can have, but the trade off is you get low end that does not get all farty like tweeds an deluxes especially can when driven hard (low powered Fender amps always seem to have very solid bass to me until overdriven hard. Then it turns to mush, which is why tube screamers work so well with them).
