I’ve got an ‘85 Japan Strat I bought in 1991. Weighs a ton and has the Kahler System II bridge thingy so a PITA to change strings, but feels like absolute home.

Have had this Egmond since 1988. Bought at a car boot sale in Speke, Liverpool.
I climbed on the back of a giant albatross which flew through a crack in the cloud to a place where happiness reigned all year round and music played ever so loudly

most of my guitars are under15yrs old ... only thing I have that is older is a neck off a Charvel model 7 (man I wish I hadn't butchered that body..but it was around the start of my modding/building thing) that I have had since 1995...still feel s great, but looks pretty shit haha

As you're a long time NZG member (and therefore well within the GC element of society) I would love to hang out and i'd be more than happy to buy you the best beer available at whatever venue would suit, but I do have to say (apologies, I know you made this and making guitars is a good thing) that is an absolute abomination of a guitar!willow13 wrote:most of my guitars are under15yrs old ... only thing I have that is older is a neck off a Charvel model 7 (man I wish I hadn't butchered that body..but it was around the start of my modding/building thing) that I have had since 1995...still feel s great, but looks pretty shit haha
