I'm enjoying a bit of fretless to be sure. Doesn't suit everything but there is something spesh about the sound.

John Giblin also did a spell with SM
He played some tasty fretless on some Kate Bush records. There is a Bass transcription of "Breathing" in the TAB section of this esteemed site.
