Watched most of “The Captain meets John Petrucci” today. Such a humble, well spoken guy (Petrucci that is). Now I really want a Majesty guitar. Since getting the Axis I can really see myself getting a few more Music Man guitars; fine instruments!
Loving it so far

Ugh, so help me
Shame about the wide thin but I mean, fuck. Just look at it.
Floyd model is cool but not a fan of the colours.
Bonus round: Captain meets greg koch was pretty good.

Re: What are you gassing for?
In Christchurch Rockshop this morning my eye was drawn to a used three-pickup LP Custom. Price tag was hefty but it looked the business. Sales guy drew to my attention that it'd had some work including weight relief! Sure enough, when you tipped it in the light you could see two large areas on the back that'd been routed out and covered. Also, I don't think it was originally three pickup. Anyway, though for all of the above reasons that one wasn't for me I am now gassing for a black LP Custom. There's one floating around here and another on TM that I think could go for about $3,700 in an outside deal.
Hnnngh.... Guitars! Why do you do this to me?

Re: What are you gassing for?
This year has brought me:
The single best OD pedal I've ever owned. (Rockbox Boiling Point)
A sublimely perfect amp. (Optimus Prime)
A great snotty guitar (PRS SE ONE with Lollar P90)
A guitar so far above my pay grade I still open the case with a sense of wonder. (Duesenberg Starplayer)
GAS? Hell, I'm just overcome with gratitude!

Beyond a critical point within a finite space, freedom diminishes as numbers increase. This is as true of humans as it is of gas molecules in a sealed flask. The human question is not how many can possibly survive within the system, but what kind of existence is possible for those who so survive.

The Yamano that Faceless has surely must be on your radar? It's so cool.Molly wrote:In Christchurch Rockshop this morning my eye was drawn to a used three-pickup LP Custom. Played a Ricky 330 at musicplanet and that's just fed my rickenbacker gas. Thought the little neck would put me off them but it really didn't. Played nicely.

Re: What are you gassing for?
My guitars change so often I swear I have to pause to recall what I've now got. Can't be fecked to list all that have come and gone this year but I'm seeing 2017 out with the following:Slowy wrote:
GAS? Hell, I'm just overcome with gratitude!
- Radian Tele
- 2014 SG Standard (both ex.Nik)
- 89 Strat Plus
- LP Classic (bought back for the fourth time)
- Takamine acoustic - just a cheapie I've had about ten years
Happy with my amps. Friedman Dirty Shirley Mini and 1x12 cab. Marshall Bluesbreaker combo (needs some work). Bought a BOSS RV-6 today. That and my The Dude overdrive are my only pedals.

Re: What are you gassing for?
I'm very happy with my guitars now. The only thing I have moderate GAS for, guitar-wise, is a Rickenbacker 360 in Maple Glo, for some weird reason!!
Still want a good American Vintage Reissue P-Bass, and a Fender Princeton Reverb '65 RI amp.

Duo sonic or a mustang...
I think the duo sonic is really cute. I don’t know why. It’s like a little puppy that always wants to play.

Re: What are you gassing for?
Reissue of a black 1955 Les Paul Custom with staple P90s and a Bigsby. Bit aged looking. If you have such a guitar under your bed and you'd like to flick it, let me know.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: What are you gassing for?
I like Gibby’s with Bigsbys and there’s a SG with Bigsby on TM that’s tempting
I think u guys discussed about it here before
