Intrigued by this. Been thinking about putting a piezo in my Suhr Strat. How difficult is this process??? What are the best components for the saddles and pre-amp bits? (I would want the pre-amp onboard)

I'll let you know when I've done it ;) . This is basically a drop in replacement for the existing strat saddles with a thin coax coming from them. Comes with a stereo output jack socket, so you could run it in parallel with your normal pickups. I may just add in another socket on the edge, haven't really thought about it properly yet.
So, is that low alcohol or no alcohol at all? mmmm, no alcohol, do you want to try it? Noooooooooo.

Actually going to hang onto them as it will be handy to have double thickness template, to start the route.

The piezo must work by robbing you of some of the vibration that might be behind the toanz. I know that putting undersaddles on acoustic is thought to diminish acoustic tones - wonder whether there is an impact on electrics too?
They keep telling me tone is in the fingers, but I have yet to see a "look at my fingers" thread.

I doubt very much that there would be a tonal difference on a strat with floating bridge. might make a difference on a guitar which is more firmly anchored to wood.

Yeah, the piezo pickups are incorporated in the bridge saddles, so the good vibrations can be shared, man.

I bet EJ could hear the difference.

Yes, Elton John hates his strats being tampered with.

That does look really cool. Obviously, it'll be going up to single coil for a headstock face lift! :-)
