Re: Rig Rundown
According to Willow, that's post ruining. But according to some, maybe the first album after they were ruined. Or before they were ruined.
Basically the last 3 albums have had no "dirty" vocals and have moved kinda into heavy 70's prog inspired rock rather than Prog Death Metal.
So ruined or not depends on whether a) you don't like that they stopped being Black Metal b) stopped doing really long stuff or c) stopped doing dirty vocals.
Its all good to me though

Re: Rig Rundown
Theoretically after, but that was their first album on Roadrunner so that record was probably the first thing most of their current fans heard.HackSaw wrote:Is that before or after they were ruined?
I only like their non-metal records though - the metal stuff weren't metal enough for me.

Steven Wilson helped with such epic songs as drapery falls!

Re: Rig Rundown
Yes, I lasted about that long, but I did feel like I could give it go. (Could be that I am on codeine already...)
So, in summary, every song is an Opus, the band is named after someone with a lisp saying what every song is, and given one of their songs is called "The Drapery Falls", they sing about curtains? Or fabrics in general? Maybe they get into a bit of soft furnishings and haberdashery too?
I think I'm just going to keep listening to Fear Factory today.

Call me a lightweight, but life's hard enough without making music that challenging too.
They keep telling me tone is in the fingers, but I have yet to see a "look at my fingers" thread.

It's why we have such a high youth suicide rate.

Re: Rig Rundown
I meant to say so NWOBM, which I now realise was 30 years ago. Fuck. 20 years ago I was about to start raving in London and going through my brief and oh so much fun Dirty House years.
