Damnit, I didn't think $800 was too bad a price for the MS3 until I saw them for $600 in Australia

I wasn't thinking of importing one, just annoyed at the price difference. I can't see any reason Australian prices should be more than 20% cheaper than here.willow13 wrote:How much is shipping from aussie ? And have you added GST ? And have you added other import charges?

Yes, and it can be assigned to any of the footswitches as you desire.jeremyb wrote:I assume theres an external tap tempo option?
The top footswitch for example, is by default switching to manual mode (wether or not it controls patch switching within the bank or blank footswitches ready for parameter assignment within the bank)
Within the control section of the patch however, you could reassign this to tap tempo when using manual mode within the patch.
It's pretty cool, you have heaps of options.

In the States, RRP is US$560 and places are selling for US$400. In NZ, we seem to get RRP...

Anyway, as I don't really need the FX, I'm sticking with my ES-5 switcher.

Re: New BOSS Products coming....
$699au is $734nz, so the real difference is only $66 .... really don't see that as a big deal at all. I can tell you that the RS guys will give you a bigger discount than $66 on an $800 purchaseHollowpoint wrote: Yeah I think that's is the RRP, a bunch of places seem to be selling it for less.

Re: New BOSS Products coming....
Just to say, I know the amp is inexpensive, but you can control everything via the usb editor, so why not open that up to actual midi over usb or midi? People are having to do backflips to catch the midi messages sent via usb to get the protocol. Its there but unreleased. Everything can be controlled in realtime (via the editor) so why not allow it by midi?handsoffmatt wrote:Not sure what to say to this, except that I find the MIDI very useful myself. YMMV.Bg wrote: Come on Matt, the midi is next to useless, its the 3 channels and 3 effects. It was a selling point for me until I realised it doesn't exactly fill any midi spec.
In any case, I have begun dialogue with the product team on your issues via email.
