Looks like fun but what are those big fat guitar shaped things with just a hole where the pick ups are supposed to go?

Well that was good fun!
Highlights
Highlights
- - Swapping guitar shipping stories
- Finally hearing some MK V's (Mini and big) sounds pretty damn impressive
- Irretrievably fucking up the Bohemian Rhapsody solo through a wonderful sounding Marshall halfstack
- Winning the "who has the heaviest guitar" competition by a whisker
- Actually hearing each rig in its glory with the rig rundowns
- Hamo's magic box of pedals
- Fudge and Scones
- Hearing some of my Silverpistol pedals making people happy
- Coming home wanting to play my guitar instead of firing up the soldering iron

Awesome photos Nik! All mine look a bit shite... But here are a few of the better ones:sizzlingbadger wrote:https://www.flickr.com/gp/nikplayer/p59x89
Hamo rightly suspects, this might get loud...
Nice LP Nik!
Note the secret tone scone...
Sirvill thinking he should have brought more guitars...
Polar Bear: you think that's loud mate, just wait...

Thanks guy's, I enjoyed today but it all went so quickly!
Highlight for me and I think everyone was Darth's 69 Plexi. It completely stole the show and had everyone queueing for a go, Superb.
Other awesomeness...
Tony's (TMCB) rig I really liked. His AC30 sounded fantastic and his homebuilt pedals (Silver Pistol) were really great.
Tod's (Polar bear) Gibson's had so much Mojo. Especially the black e330 thingymaggigy
Scot's (Scooter) 5150 was fab. Such a usable amp on all levels. Not just an EVH machine, so much more. Lovely cleans and everything between.
As was Nik's (SizzlingBadger) Mesa. 9 amps in 1 and not a single bad one in there.
All great stuff though. Very good variety of amps and guitars, something for everyone I think.
It was great meeting ya'll and a big thanks to Darth for sorting everything as well as the baking! Scones! Such a civilised bunch. I thought it was great how we all did our own rig rundown. "What gauge strings are you using?" lol

Great fun day with a cool bunch of guys! It was great to hear everyone run through their gear without the volume wars, even though it meant less hands on time on the gear.
Everyone had awesome stuff, I liked all of it!
Thanks to Darth for organising!
