I'm stoked for their success, just don't like their music, they certainly don't deserve the vitriol they get, typical tall poppy kiwi bullshit
right. I am not a fan of this style either. I have never played it and dont normally listen to it. But Paul Martin has been one of the hardest working people Ive seen in the music industry and has consistently delivered music that has an audience that will support it. Not many of us can say that.
And hes a damn nice bloke who would lay down his life for a friend. I wish them all the best!
Probably the same people who have office jobs to fund their hobby vs those doing it.
I'm not a "fan" as such, but there is way more offensive music out there for my ears. They have some good hooks, and I kinda like female vocals in metal from time to time.
Then again, I dont get the hate for Nickelback either.. so what would I know.
Anyone who watches the regular show will recognise this guy

For some reason I couldn't stop watching this, I think at the start it might have been because I was drawn to how awesome this studio setup is. Normally wrong/missed notes, a slightly out of time bass 'solo' & guitars not completely in tune would have me out of there in 5secs... but this was just awesome!
The drummer is feckin cool too

Great tones. Didn't do my Suhr GAS any favours either.
