He sure does, plays the cigar box guitar brilliantly as well. And teaches it.willow13 wrote:I think that more comes down to talent .... clearly that dude has plenty of itjubbathehog wrote:You guys and your fancy pants geetars. Turns out you just need a spade.

Was watching that and the other half walked past and she automatically thought it was Dave Grohl, even though she is a big GnR fan....Mini Forklift Ⓥ wrote:Always thought Duff was a helluva decent guy, intelligent dude too

Are you trying to get one of your fellow forumites, who might have a propensity to make the most obvious jokes, say that he has talent in spades?willow13 wrote:I think that more comes down to talent .... clearly that dude has plenty of itjubbathehog wrote:You guys and your fancy pants geetars. Because if you are, I'm not going to.

Beyond a critical point within a finite space, freedom diminishes as numbers increase. This is as true of humans as it is of gas molecules in a sealed flask. The human question is not how many can possibly survive within the system, but what kind of existence is possible for those who so survive.

Just stumbled on this. Original Quo line up back on stage at Wembley not too long ago. I've been listening to vintage quo recently and Francis's lead guitar is great. Listen to that last guitar solo at the end of the video above.

I've got a 'Best of' early Quo somewhere. 'Down the Dustpipe' I always liked.sty wrote:

Have to say its easy to hate on them, that shite they put out in the eighties (margaritta time, in the army now etc) probably filled their bank accounts but must have lost them a few fans in the process.sty wrote:

I like to think of them as the english accadacca, happy to watch all of that.

Never heard of using coconut oil on a fretboard. Did you notice the frets were quite dented?
Re: YouTube goodness
We always have coconut oil at home as we cook with it a lot and the missus uses it on her skin, never crossed my mind to use it on the fretboard. I'm thinking it might be a better alternative to lemon. Didn't notice about the frets, maybe due to the original nut being cut so low?Molly wrote:Never heard of using coconut oil on a fretboard. Oh and I've just noticed that my bridge is on backwards. Did a quick Google Image search of my guitar and seems like nearly all 2014 LP Traditionals have it on backwards, odd that.

Re: YouTube goodness
With some of the wider bridges (don't ask me to quote their names - ABR1 XYZ ABC - f'ked if I know) it's hard to avoid the strings touching the back of the bridge regardless of which way around you put the saddle screws. Top-wrapping helps I reckon. If you flip your bridge you'll need to fart around changing the saddles because of the slots. Maybe just top-wrap it?Mini Forklift Ⓥ wrote:We always have coconut oil at home as we cook with it a lot and the missus uses it on her skin, never crossed my mind to use it on the fretboard.
