I'll have to watch this when I get a chance. I spent a couple of hours in a small clinic run by Devin a couple of years ago and he is a strange of combination of crazy mad and intensely deep thinking!

I love Devin. Been a big fan for a number of years.

Have to admit the video was a bit disappointing, felt very rushed and like a spur of the moment thing when Dan & Mick went to deliver his new pedalboard. Also most of the video was an advert for the Mooer Ocean Machine, which while I admit is a tasty sounding pedal, I felt like the video missed an opportunity to dig deeper into Devin's writing process and how he uses his gear to inspire new riffs and ideas etc. To me it also seemed like Devin was having an "off" day in terms of his playing in this video. He just busted out his typical, somewhat "cliche" octave riffs in open C and heavy echo+wah lead tone. Pretty much the stuff he plays in most of the somewhat "awkward" demo videos he does. Whereas when you see him play his full songs, like in live video or clinics, his playing is so much more diverse. I mean, this is the same man who can write riffs for albums like Ki & Casualties of Cool and then switch to SYL mode! lol
