DD pedal or Analog

Post by Olderama »

Hi all

I'm after a delay for both my tube heads and I'm looking for one to give that 80s solo tone that's not going to muddy up or suck my amp dry :D and have note clarity
True bypass
And not bothered by TT

Digital or Analog? Does it make a difference

DD in FX loop post gain/drive or after your dirt pedals is what gives that classic 80s metal/rock lead tones.
Flashback if you wanna play with modulation or other delay types like tape etc. Boss DD-3 if you want something even more utilitarian.

80's solo tone? You want a digital delay.

Quick spam, I'm selling an Ibanez DDL10 which is a super nice sounding 80's/90's digital delay, it's on TM, but PM me if you are interested for a NZG discount!

Digital delay to retain clarity, since analogue repeats degrade in quality.

This is a cool option for a range of sounds.
They keep telling me tone is in the fingers, but I have yet to see a "look at my fingers" thread.
