Having a massive change of tack, going through a major Hendrix / Frusciante phase at the moment, so back into standard goes all the guitars and time to learn to play that kind of stuff, going to be hard going but quite rewarding I can imagine!

Needed a new goal now I'm not in a band, time to take on some new challenges and grow as a guitarist.

Hot country licks - realised I tend to play the same old c%^p every time I pickup the guitar so trying to learn a lick a day.

I've finally learnt that there is a switch that lets you choose another pickup other than the bridge and theres this thing called a volume knob which you can use to adjust your toan and gain with, has anyone else come across this on a guitar before? I'm sure it wasn't in the manual.

Just wait until you find the tone knob, mind blowing ;-)

I find it like a depressing living kind of death if I don't play for some time, one of those things you love but let die. It all washes away when I pick that thing up and get lost in it.

LOL, you are right, silly me. There is no tone in the tone knob. It can't be in the fingers, else we would all be talking about playing rather than about gear. So tone must all be in the booteek gear

I'm gonna learn the Black Betty solo for my band to play live. And after that is Free Bird. I think both will clean up my lead playing quite a bit.
