New Pickups for my Ibanez Gax30

Post by Karlmalised »

Im upgrading my shitty old ibanez and want to put new pickups in their to spruce it up a bit :) I dont have a whole lot of money, so im thinking either buying some of those kent armstrong's off trademe (Their JB/59 set is kind of what im after) or getting some dimarzios while their going cheap at music planet. Basically i want one pickup for high gain (rock and metal) and one versatile pickup for clean. I also want them to be 4-conductor cause i wana make it a 5-way :D

A SD '59 is 2 conductor, dunno about the KA copies tho'... Hard to beat the JB/59 combo tho, I have a custom-custom/59 combo in one guitar, pretty versatile!

Just looked at Music planet website, cheaper than i thought! its crazy. HFH is $70 and Super distortion is $90 but a dual sound (essentially a super distortion) is only $55. Thats a hard deal to beat!
