The new Red Witch Fuzz God III appears to do almost everything. I just ordered one from Ben.

Re: Finding the Right Fuzz Pedal
Put your mid heavy overdrive before the fuzz and use it as a boost.Reg18 wrote:I know everyone says first but strangely I preferred it after my Diamond compressor, is that normal?
And as I usually like to have a low gain OD on most of the time and then kick on the fuzz for a lead boost/big rhythm tone I’m finding the mids/low end drops out, any suggestions on that? If I put an OD after the TB it retains some of the mids but becomes very dark and if I put an OD before it is a lot clearer but the mids drop out.
Any suggestions?
Try the compressor at the end of your overdrives but before modulation and delay/reverb.
The general rule is Dirt (Lo - hi) —> Modulation —> Time.

Re: Finding the Right Fuzz Pedal
Did a quick demo to show how it sounds.
It’s not bad actually, I’m liking all the different sounds I can get, will learn some more Zeppelin riffs and do another proper video at some point if I get time.
Tried the compressor after the drives again but still like it before for some reason. It tightens up all the drives or something.
Link added as it doesn’t seem to play

Re: Finding the Right Fuzz Pedal
The signal being fed into your drives is already compressed. Drives compress shit more - don’t know why.
At the end of the day they’re both compressing something already compressed.
