Thanks, but I think 15w and reverb are what I'm after. And swinging back towards a combo as well.

Shall I take that as a yes?!

I was hoping someone who has played one might give some insight.

But a "yes" is a good response.

This is an amp I would like to own one day (at 60% of retail or less), so yes, absolutely, you should buy it straight away. Good price too!

This would be similar to the London Pro I would imagine; same preamp tubes for each channel. Combo and reverb too, gotta be a winner.
Loving it so far

That's exactly what I was thinking. The Dr Z is excellent but stays clean pretty much all the way, whereas this should give a bit of dirt when required.

We're hoping you can be that helpful guy in future.
They keep telling me tone is in the fingers, but I have yet to see a "look at my fingers" thread.

I wouldn't compare these to the other builders Vox derivatives. Much more going on under the hood. Sure you can nudge it into that familiar sonic territory but you can also get some cool, fat, smooth lead tones out of it and a whole range of tones in between. Responds differently with different speakers.
Out of all the different amps I've owned over the years this one took me the longest to get familiar with. Thanks to the active eq circuitry you can't eq it with your eyes ( if you're used to the usual subtractive tone circuits which most of us are ) , plus the controls are very interactive, again more so than I'm familiar with and I had an Hc30 head for ten years. The only thing I can criticise is the fx loop, the use of which seems to detract from the amps tone. Badcat tell me it can easily be cured using a buffer but I've been without a delay for a while so haven't tried it.
Hope this is useful, there are no decent clips out there but it's nevertheless a rocking piece of kit.
