Don't know how much sway I have, but I definitely have a direct line of contact with the engineers and I speak with the Product team in Japan on a weekly basis. Your feedback will definitely get back to them.

Sorry to hear you think the MIDI functions are so poor. To be clear,we've taken care to not try and pitch the Katana as an all-in-one box. We were wanting to make a kick-ass sounding amp, that had the convenience of some commonly used FX on board. We figured that serious players are gonna have their own FX rig - particularly those who want to get into MIDI control.

The MIDI functionality on Katana is not intended for a high degree of FX control - it is intended to allow Katana to integrate seamlessly into an existing FX setup.

I'll beg to disagree. It was a selling point for me. I use the MIDI control on Katana to integrate into my FX rig (was GT-100, now MS-3) so that I don't need to use ANOTHER footswitch for the amp. Exactly as intended.

A very fair point in the past, but you may have noticed things have been changing as of late. (new firmware for ES-8, ES-5, DD-500 and RC-505 in the last few months). It's a changing world out there....

Come on Matt, the midi is next to useless, its the 3 channels and 3 effects. It was a selling point for me until I realised it doesn't exactly fill any midi spec.

I'm confused. I thought the purpose of having midi control on the amp is so you can switch between saved presets on the amp with a separate midi control device.

Are you saying it doesn't do that Bg? or are you trying to do something different like parameter controls on the fly?

You can do everything you can with the GA footswitch. So , switch between 3 channels, and switch on 3 effects. But thats pretty much the published limit

Well MIDI should really have no limits, control wise So its a limitation in the software of the Katana amp.
