$349 US at Rogue and Prymaxe, which disappointments me a little. $300 like the DD-500 would have been sweet. At that price I'll hang about and wait to compare with the new Source Audio reverb (Ventris?) when it's launched soon

Strymon for the masses. Really Boss is just playing catch up here and doesn't add anything much new. And typical of Boss products, they look a bit clunky and lacking in design finesse. (Sorry Matt)

I really like the way these look and sound. Good price point too. Then again, I've always preferred Boss pedals.

Totally agreed that we're playing catch up....but we do add new functionality.

The RV-500 also has a delay available on every patch.
Both pedals feature the ability to run TWO simultaneous patches.
The assignable functions are light years ahead of the competitors and we've upped the A/D - D/A quality to 32-bit.

Oh, and they are significantly cheaper than the main competitors.

No need to be sorry to me about your opinions on the design aspect. I didn't design them haha (though I do actually quite like them)

Yeah, you could do that. You should note that the delay doesn't have the huge range of editable parameters that you'd find in the DD-500 - but it is a good sounding delay with enough useful editing parameters. The available DELAY parameters are:

SERIES or PARALLEL connection (to Reverb effect)
TIME (in MS and/or BPM)
NOTE: 1/4 note, 1/8 note, dotted eighth etc etc..
FEEDBACK
EFFECT LEVEL
LOW EQ
HIGH EQ
MOD DEPTH
MOD RATE
INPUT LEVEL
TEMPO HOLD

I can see how separate effects per channel could bring up some interesting stuff. Looking forward to hearing what people do... Presuming its parallel with control ability...
Larrivee 00 Acoustic. FAV Strat for electric. Ibanez SDGR5 for bass. Push for Ableton. When not doing that, 3D CAD for tunnels...

When operating 2 patches in SIMUL mode, you can select between SERIES or PARALLEL connection. You can also select if you want the output to be a stereo mix of both, or output each effect seperately in Mono.
