Re: Digitech FreqOut
Just be thankful you're not running a Whammy DT - that sucker wants the 1200ma! It did run fine off my PT1250 though.
This FreqOut pedal looks/sounds awesome, but I know if I buy one pedal it's a slippery slope towards another full pedalboard.

Loving it so far

Zackly. First impression was I'd made a mistake. Took a week and a session with the band to discover its life enhancing potential.GrantB wrote:First impressions are....this is not a 2 minutes and you have it nailed kinda pedal.
Keep your gain knob low and just increase to taste.
Select 1st and fast onset for a usable EBow simulator.
2nd and a slightly slower onset for feedback on held notes.
Haven't found a use for 3rd; 5th is just a horrible squeal and the others, I'll get to in time.
Seems to work best for me in momentary when applied immediately after a note. It will bend and slide but sounds
fake to my ears.
Hang in there; it's worth it.
Beyond a critical point within a finite space, freedom diminishes as numbers increase. This is as true of humans as it is of gas molecules in a sealed flask. The human question is not how many can possibly survive within the system, but what kind of existence is possible for those who so survive.

Re: Digitech FreqOut
The idea is that it would replace my Fernandes sustainer guitar, which I use for With or Without You and Heroes. I'm not certain Mr FreqOut can just yet.

Re: Digitech FreqOut
I'd doubt that too. It's more about providing controlled feedback than infinite sustain.GrantB wrote:The idea is that it would replace my Fernandes sustainer guitar, which I use for With or Without You and Heroes. I'm not certain Mr FreqOut can just yet.

Re: Digitech FreqOut
This pedal suits the times. The volume adverse times to be more concise. A pedal that simulates feedback is indicative of the fact that even pub venues etc these days can not let the band get loud enough for doing the feedback awesome thing.
yeah, I have nostalgia for the days we used to build stages in peoples back yards for parties and have 100 watt Marshall stacks making real feedback, with hardly a peep from noise control.
Not in Fielding tho. My jam mates went down there to play a party and the cops threw all their band gear on the bonfire. They lost everything. (late 80s)
