Recently opened East Auckland shop.
Operated by Joe Liu, Nice guy and an accomplished musician too.
He has some great products now including Victory Amplifiers made in England.

I've always fancied one of those Victory Sheriff heads.
Tube amp and guitar tones straight from 1958… amazing how believable the sounds were back then, even without the modellers...

I bought some movall pedals from them, prices seem reasonable, delivery and communication was decent too. Website takes ages to load though.

Prices are only $100 ish more than bringing one in from Andertons. Guess it's worth that for the warranty.

Yeah it is a bit of a punt but the way I see it is he has given us more options other than laney, marshall, mesa and peavey gear would love to get my hands on that 50 watt victory Kraken head . Plus it is one more place to go instead of dealing with the rockshop and the rudeness you sometimes get from some of the staff.

Thankfully that's never been my experience. Got to say they've been incredibly patient with my indecision and more than fair when I've asked for a deal on something. Might've paid to take issue with the guy's rudeness there and then.

Don't know that Kraken amp but I hear good things about Victory.

I had just knocked off work for the year so I was in no mood for it so it was better for me to just say that I would go back later they just missed out on taking $300 out of my wallet for guitar parts and something for my sons Gibraltar drum rack that was all, I did ring the shop and lodge a complaint after I cooled off and apparently he has been reprimanded for that sort of behavior in the past, as far as I am concerned for a staff member to abruptly say that the pickup I was after was far more in price than the machine heads without knowing how much I had in my wallet was unacceptable.

Back on topic:
I bought a caline reverb pedal from sound nations through trade me and they were pretty good to deal with even if it was through an auction site and email.

Fair enough.

I'm forever running foul of shop assistants. Till staff usually, when they lick their fingers to separate the plastic bags just prior to handling my food. I've had all sorts of reactions to a request that they sanitise their hands. No matter how polite I am I don't think there's a universally acceptable way of telling someone they're unclean.

Just made my first visit to the shop.
Those Japanese made guitars are beautifully crafted and he has quite range of amps there.
The way he dealt with his customers was great.

awesome he has the strings I could never find.
There are still some that think the neck PU is moved to accommodate the extra frets which only proves they cannot detect the difference in length of each.
