another NGD coming up
Ok GAS got me again and picked up a 1990's jackson PS1 (non floyd rose) off trade me which looks like it is in pretty good nick for its age. It will be my first jackson so looking forward to having it arrive, already deciding on what seymour duncan humbucker to put in the bridge to replace the stock one.

Re: another NGD coming up
I will look into the custom custom as I was thinking of something like the SD invader (if I can find one) and maybe a mini humbucker to put in the neck position to take out the single coil that is there, just trying to picture how this guitar is going to sound playing the real heavy stuff that my MIM fender strat can't achieve with its custom shop 69's now that I have started to slip back into playing stuff by misfits, ac/dc etc

Re: another NGD coming up
I heard the custom custom in Lyle's guitar yesterday and really liked the sound of it I heard it through both of his amps as well as my own amp, distortion and OD pedals so I am deciding between that and the SD synyster gates invader pickup as the jackson will mainly be used for playing punk and metal it won't be seeing much of the clean sounding stuff as that is the fenders department.

The Jackson arrived yesterday will get a pic up as soon as I can, sounds great in its stock form but damn it is heavier than my MIM fender strat.

Here she is it is a 1996 MIJ PS1 performer series, I have also picked up a secondhand sh-11 custom custom to have installed into it when i get time to take it into the shop to have it done. Shame the light in the lounge isn't right the colour is transparent blue and shows the wood grain through it . Spent a bit of time playing it today and love it

might be worth looking into dimarzios as well. Tonezone is a great beefy hot pick up and my current favourite is the Breed...massive and fat sounding

I will consider that if the custom custom does not work out but I am sure it will work well with the guitarwillow13 wrote:might be worth looking into dimarzios as well. Tonezone is a great beefy hot pick up and my current favourite is the Breed...massive and fat sounding
