I need the presets
Hence timeline/DD-500
It has presets and midi and all the good shit.
i must be looking at the wrong echolution then.
it's not that nothing else will do.
haha, I've had a timeline - enjoyed it a lot.
I'm going to see how i feel about the DD-500
otherwise I may have to bite the bullet for a new Timeline - importing one 2nd had or new from anywhere atm will still land anywhere between 600-750.
Although I refuse to pay the NZ price increase purely because of what I've bought my last ones for haha. - Plus one went here not long ago for like $500 then sold again for $550.. so it's not a big ask.
I paid $600 for my Bigsky which is a "$900" reverb pedal.

You do realise when you paid those prices our dollar was in the high 80s?

But yes, I miss it too
yeah i know that - it's just plain ignorance.
Plus Anyone that has bought one new recently wouldn't sell it anyhow. Price is too high retail now.

Looks like it's become another import price debate... But regarding DIG vs Timeline, I have both, using the Dig currently for acoustic and Timeline for electric. You said you need presets so you've kind of answered your question but I'd happily discuss if you wanted to message me with a number. I found very quickly with the DIG I was popping up and down between songs and became annoying playing electric, but I tend to keep things more simple with acoustic but kept it for that. Sounds wise, awesome. And that and the Flint is a superb one-two. But then, so is the Timeline and the Big Sky haha!
The Timeline debate I reckon comes down more to the extended delay machines and layered filtered trickery. If not, Maybe it's worth lining up a DIG, Carbon Copy and the new Echoplex in a row and mix and match. Not sure the spend would be that much different, perhaps with the first two used? And while I'm ignorant about the new Boss offering, their delays over the years have been the staple and their attempt at a Timeline beater has to be worth a look.
Larrivee 00 Acoustic. FAV Strat for electric. Ibanez SDGR5 for bass. Push for Ableton. When not doing that, 3D CAD for tunnels...
