Great demo, Ed
Beyond a critical point within a finite space, freedom diminishes as numbers increase. This is as true of humans as it is of gas molecules in a sealed flask. The human question is not how many can possibly survive within the system, but what kind of existence is possible for those who so survive.

I used to use an OD3, as recommended by HandsOffMatt. People said they liked the tone too.

Totally have a soft spot for Boss.Total workhorse pedals, the NS-2 and TU-2 were on my boards very early on, plus most metalcore bands either used DD-2/DD-3 for ambient lead parts, or at least emulated it once they moved to axe fx (myself included lol)

I remember getting an incredible sense of comfort watching an Incubus gear run through when I was younger. His board is filled with Boss and DOD pedals. Made me realise that 99% of cool sounds are always in the realm of possibility with normal gear, not $5k pedals haha.

If you can't get a great tone with Boss pedals and a decent amp....then the problem is neither the pedals nor the amp.

Awesome video Ed. This is such a fantastic resource for all guitar players!

This deserves to be shared through Boss' social channels I reckon!

I mentioned in this thread that Boss should reissue the OD-1. Then I get this promo from Andertons for a new mulit unit called the GT1 which contains that very pedal. 165 quid. I wonder what it'll retail for here. Matt?

GT-1 is going to be SSP $349 here in Australia. Not sure what NZ will be priced at yet. Suggest you ask your local friendly Rockshop :-)

Thanks Matt. I did and the RRP is apparently $399NZ. I expect to try one though I'm kind of disappointed you can't four-cable it. To be fair I suspect that's an unrealistic expectation at that price point. Certainly like the demos.

If four cable is what you want to do - then why not check out the GT-100 instead?

The GT-1 is literally a GT-100 engine, but in a super portable chassis which comes with the compromise of some stripped back functionality. I really don't understand the user comments like "oh, you can't 4-cable it" / " What about MIDI?" / "It needs more footswitches". If those are the issues, then the answer is simple: GT-100

I did say that at the price I thought that'd be an unrealistic expectation.
