Mini travel FX/interface?
My fate is sealed, booked the ticket today, going to work in London for 3 months.
I'll need something to do instead of staring at the walls in the evenings (going out boozing not really an option on this trip), so my plan is:
- Buy an el cheapo guitar (leave it at a charity shop when I go)
- Plug it into an FX/recording interface/headphone out gadget
- Write some more stuff for the album I've been working on every saturday for 2 years
After some research, this looks alright:

Any better suggestions?

Got an iPhone? If so, try the Line 6 Sonic Port. I use mine a lot when travelling.

ive got a zoom hn4 that does all manner of recording up tp 4 tracks and has useable sims as well.
i second the sonicport idea or if you do have a pc/mb something like the korg pandora stomp.
lots of stuff to choose from.

Re: Mini travel FX/interface?
Thanks for the inputs.
Pandora stomp doesn't have a usb interface right? So I'd need another gadget to connect up to my laptop (windows 7) for recording.
No iPhone. Moto G 2nd generation.GrantB wrote:Got an iPhone? If so, try the Line 6 Sonic Port. I use mine a lot when travelling.
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$. This will only be used for 3 months. I have a set of rode mics and a tascam portastudio at home.Zaulkin wrote:Atomic amplifire + headphones + steinberger?
Zoom hn4 does look handy, but I just don't need the microphones.Zaulkin wrote:ive got a zoom hn4 that does all manner of recording up tp 4 tracks and has useable sims as well.

iRig HD-A may be worth a look, Android compatible (finally).JHorner wrote:No iPhone. Moto G 2nd generation.GrantB wrote:Got an iPhone? If so, try the Line 6 Sonic Port. I use mine a lot when travelling.

iRig does look like the future. But I just can't believe that the processor on my old phone can handle the workload.Danger Mouse wrote:iRig HD-A may be worth a look, Android compatible (finally).JHorner wrote:No iPhone. Yeah thought it might struggle, which is a shame. I've had a Moto G 2nd Gen and it was a great phone....JHorner wrote:iRig does look like the future. Look into the iRig UA. It has a built-in DSP that does the processing on board instead of using the phone's processor.JHorner wrote:iRig does look like the future. But I just can't believe that the processor on my old phone can handle the workload.
Amps:
Soldano SLO100 x2 | Wizard MC1 & MC2 | Diezel Herbert

Verellen Meatsmoke | Synergy SYN1 | Mesa Studio

Thanks. That looks like a contender. Think I'll do a shoot out of that and the RP360 at Andertons.godgrinder wrote:Look into the iRig UA. Ah I was wondering what the UA version offered over the A. Very cool.godgrinder wrote:Look into the iRig UA.
