Yes... it's through an amp that already sounds great and has no need at all for a drive pedal in front of it. Hmmm....
I used to think that too, now I've had a revelation! Hallelujah!

Turns out that Dunn O guy was getting more butthurt than the Lonewolf guy:
dunnoeffects: Fuck you @jimdunlopusa/MXR: this is the real #5150 pedal, brought to market months before yours. Accurate to the amp schematic and not just sporting a random stripe paint job.
Trying to undermine the AMT ones too:
effectsdatabase: (btw the AMT P1 was also released to be a 5150 pedal a few years ago).
dunnoeffects: @effectsdatabase And yeah I know about the P1--I thought it was a little different and not a straight "5150" pedal.
AMT's been at the porting tube amp circuitry to FET pedals business long before either of those bedroom solderers came into the picture, would be pretty unlikely that they got it wrong.

But the most ironic part of their butthurtness is that both of them mostly just made clones or slightly tweaked versions of mass produced big brand pedals, yet they get upset about a big brand coincidentally release a similar product as theirs, which was probably aimed at a completely different market in the first place...
Amps:
Soldano SLO100 x2 | Wizard MC1 & MC2 | Diezel Herbert
Fryette Pittbull CL | Marshall 2203KK | Krank Rev 50 | Mesa Mark 2A

Rack stuff:
VHT/Fryette GP3, GP/DI & 2/90/2 | Peters FSM/Chimera
Verellen Meatsmoke | Synergy SYN1 | Mesa Studio

What a totally pointless clip.

Even more pointless than most pedal demos which are usually massively pointless.

No way to tell what settings are used or if the pedal is even on.

Skip the first 4 and half minutes of blather.

Watch the next 30 seconds where he turns the volume up and down and it gets louder and quieter.

Watch the next 30 seconds where he explains what a noise gate is.

Skip.

Now it's a carbon copy demo.

And... I'm not watching anymore of that shite.
