Movall Pedals

Post by Glacial Pace »

Anyone got any of these guys? They are the same as the Tone City ones that the Andertons guys raved about in their videos and they are on Trade me for $75 which seems like a bargin. I was thinking of picking up their delay pedal and the Plexi Troll.

I am in no way involved with either of these companies, just curious about the pedals that seem like a good deal.

It's probably worth the risk at that price, I personally don't know if they are just re badged Tone City pedals but if it was me, I'd give it a crack!

they sure do look interesting. i tried to find info on whats a clone of what but could not find any.

i wish the guy thats selling the calines for $80 would drop them to $60, then i would buy one of each - my caline bb clone is awesome.

duh i just realised that the caline guy is the movall guy, and that the movalls are tone cities which are well documented as to what a clone of what...

Ordered the fuzz and delay pedals, the seller combined the shipping on them so that made them a bit cheaper, should get them, and hopefully my new amp this week.

You can get the Calin stuff on Ali express pretty cheap, it might be fake but what's the point in making a fake of a cheap clone? I actually bought a reverb pedal which is one of the more expensive ones from there, worked out at $75 all in. The movall guy sells them for $130.

It sounds pretty stoner rock, wish I could play better. Still, I'll get there.
The Fuzz pedal picks up a radio station pretty bad, might try some of that slug tape around the inside if there is room.
The delay sounds great.

Update on the Caline reverb pedal, it turned up broken, so they are going to send another one. It doesn't feel anywhere near the quality of the Movall ones. They feel solid, the Caline feels like a much cheaper bit of kit to me.

Having said that, if to sounds reasonable then for $50 it's still a bargain.

Valeton Pedal range from the same TM seller is rather good quality.

Valeton are designed and manufactured by a well established OEM manufacturer.

Cant comment any further and I am not associated with "that seller" in any way.

Peace

I've noticed a lot of those pedals on TM of late, they look pretty decent and I'd probably take a punt on one.

Thanks for all the feedback, some valuable points/opinions some people have raised.

I'm looking at pedals again and came back to Tone City/Movall pedals, turns out they are on sale now, down to $60. Value for money they are really good, I'm happy with the ones I have. I also found this image which shows what the equivalent Movall and Tone city Pedals are and also lists the pedals that they are based on. Might be helpful if you see a tone city video and want to buy in New Zealand.

Nothing to do with me but thought some of you might be interested.
