Fractal FX8

Post by SimpleSi »

ok so Totally GAS over this - I recall the conversations/thread earlier this year when this was announced - now people actually have these and are doing demo's

I have to do a bit more research - but this may possibly be a replacement for my space-control pedalboard if I sell up.

Loving using the Kemper - but the effects are so-so

the AxeFX effects are top notch.. so this MAY be the go...

That's actually not to shabby. New RRP would be $3200 for all of them.

We could play a game...

Direct me to a photo of your board and we can see how scary your spending is :)

Or for your sanity, maybe not a good idea haha.

Would be good for using the driven/dist profiles in your KPA.

Don't forget the cost of the shame of using a multi-effects unit!

I have been following this from day one and am set to get one of the first lot into AU/NZ. That said some stories have been coming out suggesting it's a little underpowered, oh and you lose the spillover of the Strymons.

check out the demo in the video - it seems to have spillover for delays etc..

I will mention - with my loop pedal(OC10) i don't get any spill over anyway  it's just a straight cut when i turn pedals on/off

There are ways to achieve spillover, it's just not a given that when you change preset that it will be there. Not really an issue for me, I don't do big washy stuff so noone really notices the cuts live.
