Everyone always says the Carbon Copy is too dark right? Makes sense I guess.

Re: Carbon Copy Bright
Saw this yesterday. Definitely interested. If it sounds anything like the Malekko Echo 300b I had a few years ago (and should never have flicked) I'll be saving my pennies for one.

Sounds great. He played "Time" without a pick.
Must be a very subtle delay in it, would be nice to hear the same without the delay function enable.

When faced with quality, I recognise it every time.

Re: Carbon Copy Bright
I can't help but notice that it's the same colour and basically the same naming convention as the Malleko Echo 300B and 600B. I don't know if they had a very big following, but they (along with their Dark variants) were easily the raddest sounding analogue delays this side of a DMM that I've tried. The original Carbon Copy is fairly comparable with the Dark variants.

I know, it's like it's almost an exact replica of the first one. A carbon copy, if you will...slash-ed wrote:I feel like they could have been a little more creative with the naming, haha.

The darkness is part of the appeal! I might have to get one of these so I can have both on my board

Yeah I'm really interested in this. I have the carbon copy but have always found it a bit too dark, even for an analogue. Might have to sell the original and but the new one.

Re: Carbon Copy Bright
Probably just a couple of cap changes, they could have put a "Dark" switch on it so you could have the original sound too. Then I guess they wouldn't sell any more of them though.
Tube amp and guitar tones straight from 1958… amazing how believable the sounds were back then, even without the modellers...
