haha, If I liked the Santana guitars maybe..

you already know I have my eye on a P22 or P245 8) just no money for it until next year - in the process of trying to change jobs which should help fund the addiction.

Both guitars looking at being $6000-$7000 from NZRS new.. YIKES!

On Topic: I like the look of the interface of this pedal - Looks really user friendly - the Axe and Kemper are NOT... this will totally be a nail in the coffins of said modellers.

Yep, the USD is stinging right now. Retail on those Strymon small box pedals are creeping up to $600.

A year ago and .20 more $US for your kiwi and it was a different world.

And yeah, the anti corporate thing is just tall poppy in a different hat. It's total fabrication, almost arrogant. Like whinging that stuff it made in China yet no one is complaining about their iPhones and iPads being made there. By the biggest company in the world. They got big making great products in massive volumes. That's actually a lot harder than making a few great products.

The only difference is bigger numbers, more quality control, more people. Rather than one company making pedals, you've got one (or many) team(s) making pedals, one team making something else.

I just think we should cut people a break and assume they're trying to do a good job. This whole corporate thing = bad is just another religion, and we're not supposed to talk about that...

I did forget to say that the Helix looks like a great little piece of kit. I imagine it'll suit the one box for all purposes people... And not a few P+W leaders! :)

You didn't see the Enron documentary, did you... :P
Hot_Grits wrote:What I'm really hoping is this activity from Fractal and line 6 prompts Kemper to do a cut down product -like a unit that loads profiles but can't profile.
That would be amazing, although still unlikely to bring it down into my price orbit. Now if Line6 brought out a profiler on the other hand...

Looks like those lucky guys at Sweetwater got their hands on a pre-production demo unit.

The review is a little lengthy/talky, but I flipped out a little when they plugged a guitar and made THIS noise at 06:42...

That is fairly convincing to my cloth ears. I'd like to hear the amp models without delay or verb though. (Didn't watch the whole vid yet though)

The way the NZ$ is going, this thing's gonna be bloody pricey when it gets here.

As much as I love my tube amps I can see the models getting so good over the next few years that we really won't need them anymore :crybaby:
Tube amp and guitar tones straight from 1958… amazing how believable the sounds were back then, even without the modellers...

I dunno, they're no cheaper than a tube amp, and all the serious users of such things seem to be using a tube amp as well on stage.... as a recording tool I can see a use for one, but otherwise...
