How would you describe the difference? Is one darker? Grimier? Which dou you think sounds better for slap echo?

The vapour trail and the CC sound quite different. The Vapour Trail has the added bonus of being able to attach whichever modulation pedal you prefer into it through the Wet channel loop.

I would say the SD has more character, and can be tweaked to do grimy or be a wee bit brighter. It's also quite happy to go into mad spaceship mode if needed. The CC has never really enticed me, I find it to be a bit dull. It does it's job, for sure, but I've not ever found myself excited by them.

Hmmm... That's pretty much exactly what I found when I had a carbon copy. Vapour Trail officially on to do list.
