Shortish Analogish Delay
Rejigged my pedal board recently and I have room for at least 3 new toys
Been thinking for a while about getting an analogy, shorter delay to pair with my DE-7.
Any recommendations?
Been doing a bit of research and all roads seem to lead to the MXR Carbon Copy at the moment but I wanna hear what everyone else uses too.

Tech21's Boost DLA is versatile, you can change tone and add "flutter" (modulation). A bonus is that Tech21 has terrible resale - good for buyers. Also the boost is quite good if you want to use it for something else later.
They keep telling me tone is in the fingers, but I have yet to see a "look at my fingers" thread.

Carbon Copy...do it!
Don't overlook the ehx Memory Toy/Boy they are pretty good and often really cheap on the used market.
In fact that reminds me, the ehx #1 Delay is a really nice analog voiced delay as well. Worth a go if you find one cheap.

I found this one that didn't sell at $130 http://www.trademe.co.nz/music-instrume ... 357259.htm

Cheers!
I had totally overlooked those. The plot thickens.

Carbon Copy / DM-2 (DM-2W) / MI Effects Lo-Fi (Ryan @ Ampshop has these)

Oh yes - the DM-2 is good, but is actual analog and a bit pricier.

That's what I was hoping too, but there are none at the moment - will keep my eyes peeled for a good deal on all these options I think.

Re: Shortish Analogish Delay
I'm wondering if the pedal market is starting to seep out to Facebook faster than other gear. Seems to be not a lot on TradeMe at the moment, at least not used.sirvill wrote:MattH wrote:Carbon Copy. Good value. Plenty of second hand ones on TradeMe. Easy to use. Reliable. No contest.

Re: Shortish Analogish Delay
Totally man, most of my recent sales have been through Facebook.
There are deals to be had on the old FB, and none on Trademe. I still list on both but Trademe only gets bites on gear that's fairly rare.
