New DigiTech TRIO - "Band in a Box"
I don't know if this has been covered in the NAMM thread or not, so..
Anyway, it looks like a great jamming/composing tool in the "sketch pad" sense. A Digitech rep has stated that it will be available in March, and the SRP will be US $179.95. http://digitech.com/en/products/trio

It appears to take looping to the next level. It does have a multi-part feature that lets you program 3 separate parts for something like verse/chorus/bridge, hook/verse/chorus, verse/pre-chorus/chorus, etc. like this guy does.Bg wrote:yeah that looks pretty cool no looper function though?

Another NAMM.
Another GAS attack.
Another GAS attack.
Beyond a critical point within a finite space, freedom diminishes as numbers increase. This is as true of humans as it is of gas molecules in a sealed flask. The human question is not how many can possibly survive within the system, but what kind of existence is possible for those who so survive.

Except it doesn't record & playback your guitar chords, it only creates a drum pattern and bassline based on what chords you've played. If you could sync the loop to a Jamman that would make it even better. Or combine the 2 pedal functions into one.

Cool practice tool. I’m terrified that solo artists will start using it to be a one man band and will bore us all to tears.

Anything that improves my ability to play with myself is worth having.
And when did you get a 65Amp and why am I only hearing about it now?

Re: New DigiTech TRIO - "Band in a Box"
Got it from Opsguy as part of a swap for one of my PRSs. Now it looks like I'll be cashing it up if Matt is happy with it (and its a hard amp not to be happy with).slowfingers wrote:And when did you get a 65Amp and why am I only hearing about it now?

You just need more frequent practice at playing with yourself.slowfingers wrote:Anything that improves my ability to play with myself is worth having.

Re: New DigiTech TRIO - "Band in a Box"
yeah saw that. no looping though, it needs to do a whole run through your tune, then it thinks bass and drums and ignores you chord progression? as in it doesn't record it? I think if you've gone that far, I'd want it to play it back! or give me t he choice? did I miss that?Sustainz wrote:It appears to take looping to the next level. Re: New DigiTech TRIO - "Band in a Box"
Yeah the omission of a looper or a looper sync kinda dealbreaks for me, I'm simply not a good enough soloist to do the trio thing
