ok GAS has cut in again - just ordered the RS wiring kit for my LP and I'm thinking of a better set of PUPs for my Bass ;)
So, is that low alcohol or no alcohol at all? mmmm, no alcohol, do you want to try it? Noooooooooo.

Thats great. They get rave reviews those RS kits.

I have heard they are not that expensive as well. Don't you think the pots and Caps in your Classic are cutting it ?

nah its more that I want to try it out to see why it gets rave reviews - pure GAS! I'm all in favour of better quality components, and the RS Kit is an easy way of upgrading ;)

What is an RS kit?

Radio Shack?
Rock Shop?
Rock Solid?
Rigid Suspension?
Real Silly?

What does it do then?

oops missed your post rog... its higher spec/tolerance components. also the pots are log (audio) taper as opposed to the completely WRONG linear pots fitted by Gibson - this is just a downright strange thing for them to do. They also match the pots to within a higher spec - i.e. the 500k pots will be within the range 500 - 520k as opposed to anywhere ranging from 420k upwards.

oops I forgot to mention that the linear pots fitted by gibson are 300K as well.... so the 500K opens the sound up a bit....
