THe mother of all Guitar Sales

Post by TMG 03 »

Clapton is putting Blackie up for sale. Brave man or still drunk.

He has over ten pages ouf guitars for sales including a SRV strat. Considering he had an auction 5 years ago he must have over 200 guitars at home.

I think it is all for his Drug rehab clinic.

I see There is even a Ibanez Jem in there and a range of other weird and wonderful guitars.

if i had 10,000 i'd buy the jazzmaster.. but then again.. that would be equivalent to buying a couple of other guitars from somewhere else..

Surprisingly few Les Pauls considering what he's known for - also I wonder if he just got fed up changing the strings??
You can't do THAT on stage!

He sold most of his gibsons last time. THere is Historic les paul for sale this time around. Read the piece on it.

Really interesting on how he describes them compared to strats.

Correct. Sold to a guitar chain in the US. Guitar Center picked up all the expensive stuff.

I can see it now in 2024(50 yrs after EC started using 'Blackie')

AUCTION OF CLAPTONS GUITARS AT GUITAR CENTRE LA(owners retiring after many years of hard work).

Lot 1. BLACKIE...........RESERVE (US$5 MILLION)
sold to a Japanese collector for 7.5 million who said, quote 'Elic Crapton is brest guitarlist een na whurl, so I bry eet, okray!!
Doin' that scrapyard thing.
