lovely guitars. i have one. love the full scale length.
what does yours weigh if you dont mind ?
also, what year?

Unfortunately the scales aren't working properly, unless I have lost 30Kg's in the last month. So not sure of the weight, but it is pretty light. From the serial number the guitar was made in July 2007. The guy I got it from said he bought it off the original owner, who bought it new in Japan, then relocated to NZ.

Was umming and ahhing over dinner last night, but pulled the trigger on this 2014 Gibson Les Paul Traditional in Honeyburst...

It's one of the 120th Anniversary editions and based around the 1959 LP; supposedly the '59 Tribute Humbuckers are meant to be excellent, has a chunky 50's style neck and it's non weight relieved. If online reviews/praise are anything to go by I should have found a good one

I've played a few 120th Traditionals and despite the bad reputation of the '14s, they were all superb. The pickups are not dissimilar from the Custom Buckers in the R9s, so they're also pretty decent.

What was the bad rep for the 2014s? I'm thinking about picking one of these up when I'm in Japan.
