So this arrived - looks great except for one thing...the bridge and string holes have been drilled incorrectly. 5mm too close to the neck pocket. Naturally I have opened a dispute. The plan B could be a nice B5. Feckers. Pretty cross actually.

Yeah, on a cheap body I totally would have done this! I lose $250 due to postage and taxes, but I still get a good chunk back....and I think I can buy better too (as in, get the same quality for less). The $250 lesson is do not buy a body from an unknown custom shop. They knew I reckon, the cnuts.sirvill wrote:GrantB wrote:Refund offered - postage and gst my problem. Ass hats.
Yeah I had incorrectly sized routs on a body... was a $60 body from GFS though so complaining felt churlish.
If the postage is a pain... I wonder if they would refund you say $100, and you could keep the body and just redrill the string holes (or *gasp* top loading bridge?) Not a perfect solution but might help season the shit sandwich somewhat.
To be fair, they were probably far too busy putting the nail holes and fauxjo on it to be bothered measuring.GrantB wrote:Yeah, on a cheap body I totally would have done this!
