Something from Carvin in Koa and Walnut. :shh:
A play on words, or words on play
Last chapter, verse in the final act
Words well scripted, each sentence choking
Inaudible gag, blanket which suffocates
As you eat another's words
Malnourished, you starve.

My /13 head and cabinet grew into a combo and cabinet! Sounds better than hoped on the EL84 side. 6V6 side warm and squishier as expected. Has a faulty switch that we're working on. Aside from that, woohoo!

That seems a little naff for dropping so much coin on an amp - you'd expect it to be perfect I'd have thought?

Totally - work in progress! It may have got a knock in transit so I'm not pointing a sharp finger just yet.

So how did it gain so much weight in transit?
I should look at one of these, EL84 and 6V6; everything a man could ever want.
Beyond a critical point within a finite space, freedom diminishes as numbers increase. This is as true of humans as it is of gas molecules in a sealed flask. The human question is not how many can possibly survive within the system, but what kind of existence is possible for those who so survive.

If you mean, how did it go from a head to a combo? If so, it would seem somewhere between my initial order for a head and the invoicing process the vendor "assumed" I wanted a combo. I was too busy to check the invoice and just paid what I was asked. They're saying I should have checked first, and they're right, I should have. However, I ordered a head so their initial mistake was the cause of the discrepancy. Now I have the combo, and the cabinet, I'm actually quite happy. I means I can run the other cabinet under the BTR23 if required....ya know, for those stadium gigs I do.

It also means I can sell it to Conway in a flash if I tire of it.

And, in all fairness, the head was about the size of a combo anyway. :-)

I dunno, but buying stuff when you're busy, distracted is not a good idea! I know someone who has bought the same model Shimano reel three times...

"busy, distracted" is the new code for "red wine"?
