A new NAS Box after the powersupply on my Synology (20)15 model failed. Back up, people, back up. And have hardware redundancy if you can. Just saying.

Oh, and musically, just got a 2U rack case and a a couple of soft cases for my electronic gear, and happy with my little Mitre 10 DIY process on the weekend... little shelf... (Raw melteca white $24 shelf, carpet tape, some $40 rubber backed carpet and duct tape. Wha-la. Carpeted gear shelf. Much nicer that glaringly white!)

Yes, hardware redundancy, ideally, will have one elsewhere. (Going from one 8 bay to two 5 bay NAS)

Other option might be Dropbox. But not prepared to go 6TB Cloud just yet.

A good service and you'll be away laughing. Perhaps get him to drop it off to a tech in Christchurch, and then pick it up after he's finished it?

Agree - is that voltage switch in the right position?

So, you now have more clean than a Hospital Central Sterilising Unit....what happens now?

Confusing design, eh? The guy's had it for years according to the description so I'd hope so.
