I'm fucking excited about the Pro Junior on it's way from Mini Forklift's mate. I've wanted one ever since I did sound for Dave Dobbyn about 5 years ago, and he had this outrageously warm tone somewhere in between clean and dirty, and from such a tiny little amp. Since then I've seen and done sound for some great artists using Pro Juniors, including Neil Finn, Trinity Roots, Ahoribuzz, The Adults and every time the Pro Junior has sounded utterly fantastic though the PA and on stage.
Really looking forward to giving it a whirl and hopefully lifting my tone game to the next level.

There's a guy in Macandrew Bay, Dunedin I was considering. That or spend the money on the tools and do it myself. I mean, how hard can it be? LOL

There’s a chap in your neck of the woods who does transformer rewinds if you ever want to ditch the step-down wall wart. Reasonable rates too.

Nice, that will certainly be on the cards. I'm hoping it may have a tap to convert the transformer to 230 volt operation, they often do.

Not in the mail. In the office. Through my wee Blackstar it sounds very boingy, Stratty, SRVy, boldy, roundy, an' all those Strat things Bg hates and that I was hoping it would but couldn't for the life of me remember from last time I had it. Frets aren't as bad as I feared / recalled but I'd still like to get some big, docker jobbies in there. Anyway, hurrah an' all that crap.

The red is pretty faded by the way. Looks far more pink than the pic suggests.

That wear on the body must've been a standard thing with the Custom Shop at the time. Here's a pic of another one that they've done exactly the same thing with.

Bg. This one used to belong to a guy in a Pink Floyd tribute band (hence the stubby arm). DGs tones are jolly nice too I think. It's that 'glassy' SRV thing you hate ?

Is that Kerry’s old one?
Beyond a critical point within a finite space, freedom diminishes as numbers increase. This is as true of humans as it is of gas molecules in a sealed flask. The human question is not how many can possibly survive within the system, but what kind of existence is possible for those who so survive.
